End your stay on the magnificent Ionian coast in Himarë, with a boat excursion to secret coves and beaches with crystal-clear waters.

A carefully designed itinerary combining nature, culture, gastronomy, and authentic local experiences.

Day 2 – Tirana Like the Locals

Tirana, the largest city in the Republic of Albania, enjoys a mild Mediterranean climate, numerous beautiful churches, and green parks. Founded in 1614, it also features striking Mussolini-era architecture in the city center. Stroll between iconic landmarks such as Skanderbeg Square, the Et'hem Bey Mosque dating from 1789, the Clock Tower (Sahat-Kulla) from 1830, and the Puppet Theatre, once the seat of King Zog’s puppet parliament. Visit the Peace Bell, built from bullet casings, as a reminder of Tirana’s turbulent past.

Embark on a fascinating journey through the heart of Tirana. From the remnants of its communist era to its rapid transformation into a modern and dynamic city, Tirana’s unique blend of history, art, and culture will captivate you.

  • Visit Bunk'Art 1, a chemical and nuclear bunker built as the main shelter for the Albanian dictator Enver Hoxha.
  • Enjoy some raki in a cozy bar while exploring Tirana on foot.
  • Free evening.

If you're looking for a way to truly immerse yourself in the heart of wild nature, nothing is more direct than a river descent, and rafting is the only outdoor activity in Albania that takes you through deep canyons and untamed rivers. While kayaking and canoeing are practiced almost everywhere in the country—on rivers, lakes, and along the coast—the best rafting experiences can only be found on the Osum and Vjosa rivers.

In addition to the adrenaline rush, rafting excursions on the Vjosa also include discovering nature and local elements such as traditions and gastronomy.

The Vjosa is also known as Europe’s last wild river, as nothing interrupts its flow for more than 270 km. Rafting on the Vjosa helps raise awareness of this river’s unique ecosystem. In some places, it passes through narrow canyons and gorges, while elsewhere its riverbed reaches a width of up to two kilometers. Also nicknamed Albania’s wild river, this excursion offers you the chance to discover the incredible Vjosa Valley.

  • Rafting on the Vjosa – one of the last wild rivers in Europe
  • Stunning views over the Vjosa.
  • During our visit to Përmet, you will always notice the delightful aroma of the traditional dessert “Gliko,” made from fruits and nuts. We will visit a small workshop where you will taste the unique flavors of raki and the excellent traditional gliko desserts.

Included meal: Breakfast

Accommodation in Përmet included.
